Home of world-class automobiles and personal service, and one of the largest independent auto groups in the United States, join us as a Service Advisor. You’ll act as the primary liaison between customers and the service department at automotive dealerships or repair shops. This role is responsible for greeting customers, understanding their vehicle concerns, scheduling service appointments, and ensuring clear communication between customers and technicians. You’ll provide estimates, explains repair recommendations, and maintains a high level of customer satisfaction throughout the service process
Key Responsibilities:
- Greet customers in a friendly and timely manner, gather vehicle information, and listen to their concerns or service requests
- Schedule service appointments and coordinate workflow for the service department
- Consult with technicians to determine necessary repairs and communicate recommendations and alternatives to customers
- Prepare detailed repair orders, including time, cost, and labor estimates for required services
- Provide customers with information regarding warranty coverage, service promotions, and potential cost savings
- Obtain customer authorization for additional repairs and communicate any changes in estimates or completion times
- Advise customers on the care and maintenance of their vehicles in accordance with manufacturer specifications
- Maintain accurate records of service history, repair orders, and customer communications
- Handle customer complaints and resolve issues to ensure satisfaction
- Ensure vehicles are properly parked, secured, and keys are managed appropriately
- Follow up with customers after service to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business
What we need from you:
- Proven experience as a Service Advisor or in a similar customer-facing role within the automotive industry
- Strong understanding of automotive technology, repair processes, and industry-specific software
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in preparing estimates, handling billing, and maintaining records
- Valid driver’s license; ASE certification or manufacturer training is a plus
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment
